Closing ceremony for Cinema Verite held

The Cinema Verite Film Festival has wrapped up in Tehran.

The closing ceremony of the 12th edition of Cinema Verite was held on Sunday.

Iranian documentary ‘A House for You’ directed by Mehdi Bakhshi-Moghaddam won the award for best film at the event.

Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, the first edition of the Cinema Verite was held in 2007.

Over the past decade it has emerged as one of the important events on Iran's documentary film calendar.

According to the organizers of the festival, this year’s edition of the event is held in Iranian cities of Isfahan, Bushehr, Tabriz, Sari, and Shiraz in addition to Tehran simultaneously.

The 12th edition of the Cinema Verite kicked off on December 9 and wrapped up on December 16, 2018.
